Acuity's Project Management team have recently completed the refurbishment of Shire Pharmaceuticals Headquarters in Basingstoke
The £3.6m phased project encompassed the renovation of their main reception and restaurant areas. This included the construction of a temporary reception and café as well as informal break-out areas overlooking the new reception. The TP Bennett design was planned to reflect Shire's Brave and openness policies, to integrate the communal areas with work spaces, to re-energise the feel of those areas and to modernize the service that it gives to their staff. "It has been a challenging project, however there is great satisfaction in witnessing the increased flow of people through the spaces, people genuinely love the new areas and we can see how some work trends have changed.
